DVD and older camera sources may be interlaced. The current workflow performs a HandBrake preprocessing pass before super-resolution.

The current SD→FHD profile accepts eligible sources at 756 px wide or less. Supported 4:3 sources keep a 4:3 target instead of being stretched to widescreen.

The current standard service accepts display aspect ratios around 4:3 or 16:9 with a ±5% tolerance.
What matters with older SD sources
Display geometry
Stored raster dimensions do not always equal the intended display shape, especially with legacy and anamorphic media.
Source limitations
Severe defocus, clipping or missing detail cannot be guaranteed to return simply because output resolution is higher.
